2.3 Print/Send/File Insurance Claims

STEP 3. FILING INSURANCE CLAIMS

Once Insured charges are approved, the claim is dropped in Print/Send Claims where you can send the claim electronically, print HCFA claim forms, and/or export claims files to manage externally.
Insurance Co.'s that have been set up as electronic filing with a Payer ID will show with an 'E'
Insurance company's set up for paper filing will appear with a 'P'. You still have the option to file by paper even when you've set an Insurance Co up to file electronically.

TO PREVIEW CLAIMS:

  • Select the desired checkboxes/claims you want to view & click Preview Batch
  • A pop-up window will open displaying your selected claims to preview.
  • If edits are required, you still have the ability to pull up any Patient/DOS charge in Enter Charges & make necessary edits prior to filing (Editing charges is covered in greater detail in the Enter Charges & Refiling/Editing Claims portion of the manual).


The ChiroFusion Billing system relies on pop-up validations to execute processes. If you are using ChiroFusion in Chrome for the first time, & the preview pop-up window does not appear, look to the top right corner of your browser bar in Chrome. There will likely be a Red 'X' indicating that your Pop-Ups are being blocked. You will need to click on the 'X' icon & select 'Always Allow'. This will ensure that billing windows will always display in Chrome.
