This is where you can manage patient accounts, delete/revert patient payments & further customize certain aspects such as using Extra Charges or UAC's to manage Pre-Pay packages.

Patient Account is where you can manage your patient’s accounts, delete/revert payments, print ledgers/statements.  Each time an action is complete, the page will now auto refresh to show you the most up to date information.
Home Screen of Patient Accounting:

  • The Home screen will give you an overview of the patient’s account

  • At the top will be the different functions that you can perform on the patient’s account

  • On the top right hand side will show the totals of the Patient’s account breaking it down by Insurance Balance, Patient Balance,  total balance and Unapplied Credit.

  • The page will default to the last 60 days but can be changed by editing the “From Date” in the filter

  • There will also be an option to select filters such as: type of charge, date range, provider or case. 

  • There will also be an option to click on each column header to rearrange the order of the column. 

  • There will be a drop down that will allow you to select the Live View, View All, Archived


Bulk Actions
There will now be a selection for certain Bulk functions including:

  • Archive

  • Refile

  • Preview Statement

  • Delete

  • Preview Account Ledger

  • Make Patient Responsible

  • Make Payment


Action Column
Under the action column to the far right there will be ⋮ that will allow you to do a certain function to an individual date of service

  • For the UAC you will be able to transfer the payment

  • For a visit you will be able to individually: Edit, Archive, Refile, Close, Edit to add notes only, delete or pin.

  • For Extra Charges you will be able to deduct a visit or delete.

Auto Archive
All dates of service/extra charges with a $0 AR balance will auto archive after 12 months.

Pin Visits/Extra Charges
Any item in the patient’s account is now able to be pinned to the top of the table.  You are able to pin up to 5 visits/extra charges.

  • To pin you will select the ⋮ and select pin

  • To unpin you will select ⋮ and unpin 


Encounter Details
Encounter Details will show you all of the details of that date of service/extra charge.  

  • At the top you will see the Insurance Balance, Patient Balance, Total Charge, and Copay amount.  The copay amount will be able to be selected or deselected straight from the Encounter Details.

  • Down the left hand side of the screen you will see the Patient’s Name, Provider name, Insurance Company, Encounter Date, Dx codes, Notes,  and Case.

  • If there is a note attached to the Date of Service, you will be able to click on the encounter date to view that note.

  • Each column will be able to be clicked on to rearrange.

  • You will be able to select certain check boxes such as patient payment or patient adjustment and delete if needed to remove that payment/adjustment.

  • Payments will show up in green

  • Any edits or refiles will show up in Red

  • In the action column you will be able to convert a payment to a UAC, Add a note to a CPT code

  • If there is an insurance check you are able to click on it to view that EOB/ERA
