2.3.2 To File Claims by Paper

TO PRINT HCFA 1500 FORMS & FILE CLAIMS BY PAPER:

• Select the desired checkboxes/claims you want to file & click File Paper Claim
• A pop-up window will appear & your selected claim(s) will display as text only on a blank background.
• You will need to place a HCFA 1500 Claim form into your printer & then click on the 'Print' icon in the preview window.
• The claims will print to the HCFA 1500 forms through your printer.

Printing a HCFA Image from Preview
If you will be faxing claims & have no need to print to an official HCFA 1500 Claims form, you have the ability to print the preview instead & the entire HCFA image will print to your printer on a blank sheet of paper exactly as it appears in the preview.
Keep in mind that the 'Preview' feature does not mark claims as 'Filed'. If you are choosing this option, once you have printed from the preview you will need to still select 'File Paper Claim' to mark the claims as Filed. When the print pop-up page appears, you can simply close it out. This allows the system to think the claims were officially printed and will mark them as filed.
