6.2 Editing/Deleting Posted EOB/ERA Check Payments

Once an EOB/ERA Insurance Check is posted & closed, it will appear on the EOB Summary page in the posted check history. This is where you can view all posted/closed check history & see details on how checks were posted & amounts distributed.

Go To: BILLING > PAYMENTS > EOB SUMMARY

To Search Posted/Closed EOBs/ERAs:

  • Insurance: Click the dropdown & select the Insurance Co.
  • CheckNo: Click the dropdown & select the check.
  • Search By: Alternatively, you can choose to search by 'Check #', or by 'Check Date' & enter the desired date, or Check # & click Search. Then by clicking on the dropdown to the right, the check will appear to click on.
  • Selected Check Payment Summary:* All patient DOS' will display & you can click on individual DOS' to view posting details.

To Revert A Posted/Closed EOB Check:

  • Once a check is located, you can click on the Revert Check tab & a pop-up window confirmation will display where you can click 'OK'.
  • The check has now been re-opened & it will be placed on the 'EOB Posting' page to further manage.

EOB Posting: Go to 'EOB Posting' page & under 'Search/Filter'

  • Insurance: Click the dropdown & select the desired Insurance Co.
  • Check No: Click the dropdown & select the desired check you just reverted.
  • Once the check displays, you have the option to make edits, or completely delete the EOB Check.
  • To Edit Only: Click on individual Patient/DOS to make edits on line items & when done, click Close Check to re-close the check.
  • To Delete The Check: Click on the Delete Check tab & a pop-up window will display to confirm the process click 'OK'.
