5.3 Working with ERAs

Billing > Claims Center > EOB Payments > ERA

ChiroFusion's integrated clearinghouse support ERAs with auto-payment posting. This section provides an overview of working with ERAs.

Searching ERAs
You have the ability to search "Unposted", "Posted" or "Archived" ERAs.

  • Select the item you are searching: "Unposted", "Posted" or "View Archive"

  • Enter a time frame (Within 30 day increments or click ‘Clear' to remove date range)

  • (Optional) Enter check number

  • Search

You may click on the details next to the ERA to expand the ERA details

Note: Record of any ERAs that have been transmitted into your account will always be maintained in the ERA section, even if they have been posted or archived.

Posting ERAs
Once you have enrolled to receive ERAs from insurance companies, all new ERAs will be listed in this section. Each line item will show the check number, check date, amount and payer name.

  • Check the box to the left of the ERAs you would like to post

  • Select the payer from the Payer drop down on the top right

  • Click "Post"

  • Make any necessary edits

  • Click "Close Check" to post

If there are any post errors, this will show on the EOB Posting page.


View/Print ERAs
All ERAs will have the EOB details attached. You can view/print this information.

  • Check the box(es) to the left of the ERAs you would like to view/print

  • Click "View/Print" EOB

After posting the ERA, the check number will show as a hyperlink where you can view the PDF of the ERA.


Archive ERAs

  • Check the box(es) to the left of the ERAs you would like to

  • Click "Archive"

Unposting A Check

If a check was posted incorrectly and you need to delete it and repost it, you will first need to delete it from EOB Closed checks. Then you will go to the ERA Posted ERAs, find your check and click Unpost.
