1.8 Payer IDs

The system already houses all the Payer ID #'s from Office Ally which is the clearinghouse we are fully integrated with for transmitting electronic claims. If you happen to have a verified Payer ID that is not appearing as an option when adding your insurance company to the system, you can add the Insurance Co & Payer ID here & it will then appear as an option when setting up your insurance company for electronic claims.
 
Go To: BILLING > OTHER UTILITY > PAYER IDS
 
TO ADD A PAYER ID:

  1. Enter the Payer ID and insurance company

  2. Click Save

This Payer ID will now be an available selection when setting up an Insurance Co for electronic claims. For more information see Adding Insurances.
 

It's important to verify a Payer ID as being a valid number recognized by Office Ally as this can vary among clearinghouses. To verify a Payer ID you can contact the Payer or visit www.officeally.com website under Resource List > Payer Lists. Most Major Medical will appear under Professional and Institutional while Auto/Worker Comps will show under the Worker Comp section.
